It is a contemplative missionary community, founded in France in 1983 and arrived in Spain in 1986. Since 2010, the sisters have been temporarily housed in the "Bishop's Chapel".
The Comunidad del Cordero is made up of sisters and brothers, families, lay people, young people and diocesan priests. Their life is centered on the Gospel, which they demonstrate through the witness of fraternal charity, the beauty of the liturgy and the mission to the poorest.
Its MISSION is to live fully the joyful message of the Gospel, to open its doors to all; to offer freely to the poor and the rich the hospitality of the "open table" to share the meal as brothers and sisters.
Comunidad del Cordero Project - "A Light in the City of Madrid: Construction of a Chapel in the Little Monastery".
In 2022, the Madrid City Council granted them a plot of land to build a small monastery of the Lamb. This project consists of a central chapel, a cloister for the sisters, a reception area and a cloister for the little brothers. In August 2024, the obtaining of the basic license was reported. In January 2025, work will begin on the construction of the central chapel. They have also carried out their mission in the neighborhood to meet their neighbors and let them know about the mission of the Comunidad del Cordero.
